“Jay Richards has the rare ability to write and direct theater that inspires and ennobles cast and audience alike. One leaves his productions with a soaring sense of hope, a heightened understanding of humanity, and a desire to work for a higher purpose and a greater good.”

Synopsis

Charlotte Brontë's classic tale of struggle, passion, forgiveness, and hope comes to life in this new adaptaion with a soaring musical score by composer/producer Jay Richards.

Richards' adaptation of JANE EYRE focuses on themes of hope and forgiveness while still developing important characters and relationships. Says Richards of this new iteration, "The spirit of this show is in Jane's response to Rochester's cynicism; 'I believe it is human nature to hope—to look forward and not back.' "Jane never gives up—that's what we love about her. There is something of that incredible determination in every one of us— and that is what inspires."

Filled with heart, humor, and wonderful characters, Jay Richards' new musical is engaging and entertaining while remaining true to the story.
